Have a question for our staff?
Please drop us an email.
Q - What is the MSDS link at the bottom of some pages?
A - This is your link to the "Material Safety Data Sheet". This contains important
information on the product being sold. You will get Manufacturer, Poison Control, E.P.A.
and other facts that pertain to the product on this page and it can be obtained at anytime.
Q - Is it safe to be doing my own pest control?
A - First of all, we at The Pest Depot, always encourage safe and responsible pest control
methods and storage of all products that may be harmful to children, pets or desirable
insects. This requires reading and following the label instructions of all pest control
products.
Pest Control products have come a long way in recent years. Thanks to environmental
groups and the chemical industry, many of the products available are now safer and more
specifically targeted to the insect we want to manage.
You are now able to apply a much safer product, in a smaller dosage and still get
satisfactory results. Although in some cases of heavy infestation or when dealing with a
pest that can be harmful to us, such as large Hornet nests, we recommend seeking the
services of a professional.
Q - Why should I use baits for mice and rats, instead of traps?
A - Most folks who are familiar with mice and have used a mouse trap at sometime in
their life. Also, most people are familiar with the damage that mice can cause to food,
books, clothing, automobile wiring, buildings, the list goes on and on. A mouse trap is an
effective method of removing mice from a structure, but the use of baits and bait stations,
is the best method of stopping mice from entering our home in the first place.
Establishing a program of rodent control, that includes Bait Stations, can practically
eliminate mice from the home, along with the disease and damage that can accompany
them.
Q - I have Deer eating the plants in my yard and garden along with doing allot of damage to my trees and shrubs. How can they be controlled?
A - We have found that Deer can be controlled The key to control is to stopping them
before they acquire a taste for your plants. After they have established a habit of eating at
your place, it becomes more difficult to deter them. The use of “Deer-Off”, unlike some
other spray deterrents, can be used on all of your plants, even your vegetables and fruit
trees.
