Gentrol IGR Concentrate travels deep into wall cavities, cracks and crevices, reaching the stored product pests, drain and fruit flies and fleas, that other treatments miss. Hydroprene, the active ingredient, prevents pest larvae from progressing to the pupal stage of development, so the larvae die before they become breeding adults and future infestations.
Stored product pests encounter hydroprene the same way they encounter insecticides traveling on or rubbing against a treated surface. Gentrol IGR Concentrate spreads out from its point of application, creating a much larger treated surface than conventional insecticides.
Whether its used as a fogging agent or general surface spray, the long-term control of Gentrol IGR Concentrate is ideal for these sites:
Food Handling Establishments
Aircraft, Ships, Trains, Trucks
Gentrol IGR Concetrate for BedBug Control:
Directions for Use:
GENTROL, an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), is a synthetic juvenile hormone "look-alike" which disrupts the normal growth development of bedbugs and roaches. Bedbugs and roaches exposed to the GENTROL IGR Concentrate will become adults incapable of reproducing, thus ending the cycle of an infestation. Use GENTROL IGR Concentrate in apartment buildings, hospitals, hotels/motels, residential homes, nursing homes, and marine vessels.
Mix GENTROL IGR Concentrate with water and apply with spray or hand application equipment, such as handpressurized or power-operated sprayers capable of delivering spot or crack and crevice spray applications.
Dilution Preparation: For spot and crack and crevice preparations:
Use 1 ounce of GENTROL IGR Concentrate to 1 gallon of water. Partially fill the mixing container with water, add the GENTROL IGR Concentrate, shake or stir, and fill to final volume. Use diluted solution within 48 hours of mixing. Shake or stir before each use. Spot and Crack and Crevice Applications:Apply GENTROL IGR Concentrate diluted spray solution using either a pressurized spray system capable of delivering a pinpoint or variable spray pattern or a device capable of coating evenly. Make crack and crevice applications directly to areas such as crevices, baseboards, floors, ceilings, or walls. Make spot treatments to areas such as storage areas, closets, doors, and behind and under furniture and beds. To treat bedbugs, apply to harborage points mentioned above; in addition, under beds, bottom side of box springs (do not treat linens and mattresses), under and behind night stands, to points where carpet and wall meet, cracks in cove base, molding, and other areas where bedbugs harborage.
IGRs Provide Long-Term Control Against Pests As a pest control treatment option, insect growth regulators (IGRs) mark significant progress in the industry. IGRs can help provide long-term results by preventing reproduction among pests that escape adulticide knockdown treatments. Active ingredients limit reinfestation. The active ingredients in IGRs disrupt insects' normal growth processes. For example, (S)-Hydroprene, the active ingredient in Zoëcon's Gentrol® IGR Concentrate, prevents pests from maturing into breeding adults. Pests' inability to reproduce facilitates long-term control and stops the cycle of infestation. Gentrol IGR has the unique ability to translocate to harborages and other areas that might have been missed during other treatments. Translocation allows the IGR to reach hard-to-treat areas like cracks and crevices. Gentrol IGR is labeled for use in food handling establishments. It's also perfect for nursing homes, hospitals and day care centers.
