InTice Sweet Ant Gel is a highly palatable, non-dripping ant bait gel containing 5% orthoboric acid. The best way to effectively use a Sweet ant gel is to remove all other sources of sugar from the area. Sodas, syrups, candies, etc.. Available sweets will reduce the chance for the gel to work. Ants not only eat for themselves, but take food back to the colony and to the queen. By making the Sweet Gel the main food source, you are assured of having an effective kill off of the colony. Be sure to read and follow label directions. Use only in areas not easily accessible to children and pets.

WHERE TO USE: Look for the point where ants are entering your structure and place the gel in cracks and crevices close to this point. Ants are opportunist and will gladly feed on sweets that are close to their home if possible. Ants spend most of their time outside of your structure, traveling inside just to get food. Eliminate the colonies outside and the problem will go away.

HOW TO USE: Place bait in areas inaccessible to children and pets or in tamper-resistant bait stations. To locate ant trails: First locate foraging ants and place a drop of InTice Sweet Ant Gel in front of an ant. When the ant makes contact, elongate the drop to 1/2 inch. Normally within 10-20 minutes, the ants will recruit more workers, forming a trail that can be followed to locate where ants are coming into the structure. Check other areas of the structure to determine if there are other entry points, potentially indicating more than one nest.

Baiting: Bait ants close to their entry point(s) and along their trail(s). Long-term success will come from baiting each separate ant trail. To maximize feeding surface, apply bait in thin (1/8 inch wide) lines, one to two inches long. Use one to three lines per entry point or trail. (Each applicator contains 30-50 inches of product, according to thickness.) After baiting, lightly blow on ants feeding at the pre-treat spot to disperse, and wipe up the bait with warm water. Replenish bait as needed. Clean up any remaining bait with warm water at the end of the baiting program. Results are enhanced if the same procedure is used to bait around the outside of the structure. The non-drip formula of InTice Sweet Ant Gel makes it easy to bait out of the way on vertical and horizontal surfaces such as the edges and tops of cupboards, along window frames and in corners where the wall and floor or ceiling meet. Some water marking may occur on unfinished surfaces. In the edible product areas of food handling establishments, other areas where food is commercially prepared or processed, and in food service areas, only place bait in cracks and crevices or covered bait stations and record the number and location of bait stations. Avoid contamination of feed and foodstuffs.

Outdoors- Place gel outdoors into, on or adjacent to structures where you see ants, next to ant trails and suspected areas of ant activity. Likely locations for ants are points of entry into structure and areas with potential water damage, including: eaves, soffits, weep holes, where wires and pipes come into the building structure, trees, stumps, roots, wood decks, fences, planter boxes, woodpiles, landscaping and railroad ties. Extreme heat or cold, direct sunlight and water may reduce the residual effectiveness. INDOORS- Visually inspect for ants and place gel in areas where you see ants. Likely locations for ants are areas with potential water damage, including: wall voids, cracks and crevices in kitchen, bathroom, under sink, windowsills, screen vents, garage, attic and crawl spaces. Do not place bait in locations that are routinely washed, as bait will be removed by washing. Do not treat food preparation surfaces. Do not use this product in or on electrical equipment where a possibility of shock hazard exists. When fighting ants that are attracted to grease and fat, use in conjunction with Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations for best results.

NOTE: DO NOT USE WITH RESIDUAL SPRAYS or FOGGERS. Do not apply gel to areas which have been recently sprayed with an insecticide or contaminated with foggers; do not spray insecticides over gel as this will cause the bait to become repellent or contaminated to the point where foraging ants will not accept your bait. Ants response to sprays and foggers, is to go out a create secondary colonies, causing your ant problem to become harder to control.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? In Tice Sweet Ant Gel will last up to 3 years in the sealed package. The effectiveness will vary, depending on environmental conditions and usage. Gel can be effective for up to 4 months, but regular monitoring and inspection will give the best results. Always store any type of pesticide out of the reach of children and animals. Best when stored in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight.
